I live in Queens New York in America and I want to remove my wisdom teeth. I have Medicaid Health first,……do they cover for removing wisdom teeth? I mean all the fees. And, my teeth is really healthy and neat, but I still want to have it removed. Does Medicaid Health first covers for removing a healthy wisdom teeth? If they do covers for it, do I have to wait a few months to get its permission and stuffs like that?

medicaid does cover extractions all fees, it’s really the only thing they cover all cost of if your older then 21. if your 21 or younger they still cover them but your dentist has to send out an approval for them to get permission to extract them. If you’re older then 21 they Still cover the cost and no approval needs to be sent.
If an approval does have to be sent out – it will take about 1-2 weeks

    You have to call the plan in your state to check if they cover adults for dental care. Mine does not. If it does it may require pre-authorization which takes a few weeks.. It may be denied if it is not medically necessary.
